Survivors share experiences

STROKE survivors in the North East are urged to take part in a major survey about their experiences.

The Stroke Association has launched the Daily Life Survey to help understand how changes to public services like health, social care, benefits and housing are having an impact on the lives of people affected by stroke.

The Department of Health estimates that 5,500 people in the North East have a stroke every year and more than 45 people will die from stroke every week.
