A NORTH east charity is holding its first ever zip wire challenge to boost its funds.
Disability North hopes to raise £5,000 from supporters reaching new heights as they are pushed off the Tyne Bridge on the 230m wire, 25m above the River Tyne.
The event will have a Halloween fancy dress theme, with people encouraged to wear a costume of their choice.
Harnesses will be available in a range of sizes.
The challenge is open to anyone over the age of 16, with a £35 fee and a minimum sponsorship level of £70 per person.
It will take place on Sunday, October 30.
