Have your say

THERE were plenty of mouth-watering treats to be found at a Morpeth garden centre.

For Heighley Gate Nursery and Garden Centre invited the Northumberland Federation of Women’s Institutes along for a cookery competition. There were eight different categories to enter, including decorated chocolate cake, cheese scones and fruit cordial, as well as a co-operative class for collaborative entries.

The baking was rated by three accredited WI judges at the centre and the food was put on display for customers to view.
