A Morpeth-based performance company is celebrating after securing three more years of Arts Council England funding.
November Club was successful in its bid for continued National Portfolio Organisation status along with a range of other arts organisations in the region. This means that the company, which has won awards for innovative shows such as Operation Pied Piper and We Got Mittens, Too!, can prepare an exciting new programme for 2015 to 2018.
Creative director Cinzia Hardy said: “This news is a wonderful endorsement of our track record for excellence and it secures our future for the next few years.
“We have a range of exciting ideas to develop and this funding is a vote of confidence in our ability to deliver some of the best art and performance in the country.”
November Club is working on a residency at Wallington, where its team will explore exciting new possibilities for outdoor performance, and its current projects include Portraits of Northumberland – taking a converted horse wagon to Choppington and Guide Post to collect the stories and memories of families in the area.
