AN open day at a Morpeth church has shown the vast range of activities which are on offer in the town.
The event, at Morpeth Methodist Church, featured the work of 24 community groups, with exhibitions to show what they do.
Morpeth Mayor Phil Taylor opened the event and invited members of the public to take a look around the various exhibits.
Groups represented at the Howard Terrace church included family and children’s organisations, such as the toddler group and brownies, craft groups, such as Woodhorn Matters and the banner group, and charities, including the Pearl of Africa Choir.
The exhibition aimed to showcase the variety of activities that can be sampled at the venue and the groups and organisations that use it as a base.
