THERE is mixed news for Morpeth bus passengers on Arriva services following a company review of fare prices.
New weekly tickets are being launched in the Tyne & Wear, Morpeth, Ashington and Blyth areas, building on the success of the Day Triple Tickets.
For people making regular journeys, these tickets provide substantial savings.
But there will be fare increases for a range of its services.
Iain McInroy, Area Managing Director for Arriva North East, said the company has tried to keep this impact to a minimum and only a very small number of passengers buying a single fare ticket will have an increase of more than 10p.
The changes take effect from Saturday. For full details on all tickets, visit www.arrivabus.co.uk
