Two farm vehicles stolen in Northumberland

Police are appealing for witnesses after two farm vehicles were stolen near Acklington Mart on Saturday.

The first vehicle, a red and white Ford horse box – registration FN53 CVF – was parked on the B6345, approximately half-a-mile from the mart, when it was stolen between 10am and 1.23pm.

Then, an Ifor Williams flatbed trailer parked at the same location was stolen between 11.45am and 1.15pm. The trailer has 30cm sides and pull-out ramps and was unhitched from the rear of a Land Rover Discovery vehicle.

Police are appealing for witnesses and want to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area or either of the stolen vehicles being taken away.

Officers are urging vehicle owners to be vigilant and to report anything suspicious to police.
