Plans have been submitted for 85 new homes on the edge of a Northumberland village.
An application has been lodged for outline consent for the development on land north east of Netherton Park near Stannington.
The proposal, by Netherton Park Trustees, aims to create a new residential community, with a mix of three, four and five-bedroom homes, and affordable housing, subject to viability.
But details of layout, appearance, scale and landscaping are still to be revealed.
The site is currently vacant, consisting of existing buildings and associated hard-standing, as well as scrub land. It sits beside existing homes at Netherton Park, as well as Kyloe House children’s unit and offices.
Stannington Parish Council is set to discuss the application at a meeting next month. Morpeth Town Council and the Morpeth Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will also consider it.
