DISABLED children and their families across Northumberland can enjoy a range of relaxing trips.
Northumberland County Council’s Aiming High team is once again running a full programme of short breaks throughout the year by teaming up with a number of organisations.
They include short holidays, family fun events, arts and leisure breaks and community sports, as well as short breaks within special schools.
The network, which was established last April, has helped to increase the number and variety of these trips and activities throughout the county.
It was also key to the county council’s achievements reaching the shortlist as a finalist in the Public and Private Partnership Local Government Chronicle Awards.
