Facts to be established

READING last week’s Morpeth Herald, I found myself in complete agreement with Coun Bob Robertson’s letter regarding the politicisation of the closure of County Hall by Lib Dem members of Morpeth Town Council.

There are a lot of facts that need to be established regarding the future of County Hall to allow for a proper and informed decision to be made regarding the site and its future.

I worry that if this issue becomes a political football then an illogical position may be taken by the county council administration based on party political lines.

I understand that all town councillors have now undertaken to work together and hope that this remains the case as this proposal is further investigated.
