FOULING: It’s not only down to dogs

There have been lots of letters published regarding the level of dog mess on our beaches, footpaths, etc.

I would just like to bring readers’ attention to the nuisance of the level of human waste that I am unfortunate enough to come across regularly when out walking my dogs through the wooded pathways within the country park at Druridge Bay.

The most recent was a Monday morning after a lovely weekend, and within just a few yards of the path.

If this wasn’t bad enough, the people doing this are obviously going out prepared as they are leaving behind soiled toilet tissue as well.

I can appreciate that someone may be ‘caught short’, but surely they could cover it over to ensure that other people don’t have to see or smell it. Or better still, pick it up in a dog waste bag.

Please consider other people, or stay away.
