Ian's in action again at Watford

THREE Morpeth Harriers were in action at the BMC Elite meeting held at Watford on Saturday evening.
Ian Hudspith finished tenth in a class filled Men's 10,000 metres in a time of 29m27.47s.

Jonathan Taylor was 13th in the 'B' race of the Men's 1500m in 3m47.41, and Chris Sampson clocked a season's best of 9m15.81s when he finished ninth in the 3000m Steeplechase.

• Morpeth's Terry Wall was second in Sunday's Newton Aycliffe 10k in a time of 32m29s.

• Morpeth Harrier Aiveen Fox finished 17th in Sunday's Bupa Great Women's Run at Sunderland in a time of 34m20s, which put her exactly five minutes behind race winner Gete Wami.

• On the first day of the North of England Senior and U20 Track and Field Championships held at Sport City, Manchester, over Saturday and Sunday, Morpeth athletes Claire Reid and Nick Swinburn were competing.

Reid finished fifth in the Shot with 10.70m, and Swinburn finished ninth in the Men's 5000m in 15m26.41s.
