RAIN stopped play for Ponteland cricketers at the weekend.
The First XI's match against Cowgate was rained off after 20 overs of the first innings, with Ponteland 54-3, while the Second XI encounter between the two sides was abandoned without play as the ground was unfit after a rainstorm just before the start.
