MORPETH Harriers Jonny Nisbet, Callum Duncan, Tom McGee, Joe Robertshaw and Reece Ramsey all claimed respective victories at the Northumberland Minor Schools Track and Field Championships at Gateshead International Stadium on Saturday.
Nisbet claimed a narrow victory in the U14 Boys' 1500m in 4m41.1s.

Duncan showed excellent form when winning both the U14 Boys Long Jump (4.75m) and Triple Jump (10.93m) events. McGee won the U14 Boys' Javelin with his best effort of 30.89m.

After finishing third in the U13 Boys' 100m in 13.9s, Joe Robertshaw clocked 28.4s to win the 200m. Reece Ramsey won the U13 Boys' 400m in 65.9s. Carley Mae Webster finished second in the U14 Girls' 800m in 2m38.0s.

• Margaret MacDonald was Morpeth Harriers lone finisher in Saturday's Windy Gyle Fell race.
She finished 35th in 1hr52m44s.

• Nick Swinburn of Morpeth Harriers finished sixth in the European Championship Trials Mens Mountain race in Llanberis in Snowdonia. His time for the 12.8k with 804m ascent event was 53m15s, which put him approximately two minutes adrift of race winner Steve Vernon of Stockport Harriers.
