Sheffield 15 Morpeth 10 North One East

MORPETH lost out on their return to action in Yorkshire on Saturday.

Up against another side fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table, neither side gave much away in a tight encounter.

But it was Sheffield that edged it 15-10 despite a try for the visitors from Liam Carmichael.

Kieran Brown kicked over the conversion and added a penalty, however Morpeth could not get another score late on and so the team only took a losing bonus point home with them.

They are currently third bottom in the table and face a crucial game at home to Malton and Norton on Saturday.

Their opponents are one place and two points better off than the Mitford Road men.
