GEORGE CAVE MEMORIAL CUP, QUARTER-FINAL

RED Row Brick Club claimed the last semi-final berth in the George Cave Memorial Cup with a 2-0 win over River Coquet FC. Adams Shanks and Joe Henderson were on target for the Brick.

DIVISION ONE BOMARSUND Social Club enjoyed a welcome win over Woodhorn Lane, as a Ross Muter double and a goal from Jamie Thompson earned them a 3-0 success.

DIVISION TWO

ASHINGTON RAOB hit double figures as they hosted bottom side Alnmouth Argyle. Lenny Lansbury grabbed four of the total, Darren Reay hit two, one of which was a spectacular 30-yard volley, and further goals came from Mark Miller, Sean Gibson, Jay Gray and Craig Robinson. Ross Brawn and James Thorpe replied for Argyle as the game ended 10-2.

Blackthorn Rovers continued their run of victories with a 3-1 win over Newbiggin Bankhouse. Carl Davison scored for the Bankhouse, but another goal from player-manager Brian Brodie and strikes from Vitali Bedakurau and Daniel Wendt secured another three points for Rovers.

All other games were postponed.
