MORPETH lost out in a tight contest against Horden CW on Tuesday night.

Jack Honour scored the only goal of the game midway through the first half.

In the last minute, Town’s Cameron Patrick was sent off for a second bookable offence after he was adjudged to have brought down Redman in the box.

Richardson’s penalty was saved by keeper Adrian Langley.

The result means Morpeth remain 11 points behind second-bottom Brandon United with two games in hand.

Town’s game at home to Birtley Town on Saturday was postponed.
