A WIDDRINGTON school has purchased new football strips and jumpers thanks to a grant of £500 from UK Coal.

Team sponsors have been found for the first time – the Grange View CoE First School playing tops advertise Widdrington Pharmacy and the hoodie jackets will display the logo of The Widdy Chippy.

Grange View coach and school governor Michael Guy said: “The children are all very excited to wear the new strip and can’t wait to start playing, and winning, for the school.”
