Exceptional month as Lightning sparks interest

THE Northumberland Lightning American Football team has had an exceptional month behind the scenes.

Andrew Wake, who has 14 years of experience in British American Football including two years’ coaching experience and holds a Level One coaching qualification, has been appointed Head Coach of the senior squad.

And the new franchise now has 30 players regularly attending practice, 50 names with a registered interest and 14 players interested in the Women’s team. It is also beginning to develop its youth programme.

The club is currently looking for sponsors, from main team sponsor to jersey sponsor. All sponsorship packages come with benefits. It is deep in talks with a potential home venue.

More information about the team is available at www.northumberlandlightning.webs.com or email northumberlandlightning@live.co.uk
