Ashington Rugby (87) v Blagdon Park (209-7) Northumberland Cricket League, Premier Division
BLAGDON were better in all departments as they kept up the pressure on leaders Bedlington with a 122-run victory.
The visitors won the toss and decided to bat. After losing Mark Foster early on, James Sanders (85) and David Gibson (33) put together an excellent partnership.
Matthew Senior, Nigel Clough and Shaun Collins scored 30, 11 and nine respectively and there was a total of 21 extras as Park finished their 50 overs on 209 for seven.
Once Paul Johnson removed Adamson (28) and Tanney (23), the home side were up against it and more wickets soon followed.
Robert Clark was the only other Ashington Rugby batsman to reach double figures and they were all out for 87.
Johnson took six wickets in total, Alistair Clark claimed three scalps and Senior picked up the other one.
