Northumberland Cricket League Division One round-up
STOBSWOOD Welfare’s good season continued with a crushing 10-wicket victory at home to Civil Service.
The away side were bowled out for 132. Daniel Watson claimed five scalps and the other wicket takers were Michael Beverley, two, Ian Watson, two, and Daniel Cook, one.
Ian Watson (66 not out) and Karl Watson (36 not out) played sensible knocks in reply.
Ulgham batted first in their match away to Whitley Bay and they finished their 50 overs on 171-8. Their two highest scorers were Colin Tait (63) and Mark Skinner (42 not out).
An excellent team bowling display meant their opponents were dismissed for 133.
There were three wickets for David Charlton, two for David Loxham and one each for Peter Wilson, Gary Hall and David Moore.
