RIVERSIDE and Ponteland Leisure Centres are supporting the annual Bike Week, this week until Sunday, by offering members of the community a free three-day pass if they cycle to their local Harpers Fitness leisure centre.
The centres will be offering free three-day passes to local residents who cycle to their leisure centre and quote bike week at Reception. In 2012, almost half-a-million people took part in cycling celebrations across the UK and Harpers Fitness is hoping to help increase the number of participants this year.
Kevin Yates, Head of Fitness, Marketing and Communications at Harpers Fitness, said: “It is really important for people to get involved in exercise this summer. We want to encourage locals to visit our leisure centres and see how much fun exercise can be.”
