Big winning margin

Embleton (101) v Mitford (195) Alnwick and District League

A GOOD team performance helped Mitford to record an away victory.

The visitors batted first and made a reasonable start thanks to Andrew O’Neill (20), D D’Netto (10) and Bhavesh Patel (15).

They then upped the run rate during a partnership between Yogen Jagatsinh (65) and Andy Gaynor (22).

Graham Potts (14) also scored double figures and there were 27 extras as Mitford were dismissed for 195.

In reply, Embleton were on the back foot after losing their two openers fairly cheaply.

Although Turnbull (28) and Grey (19) put together a useful partnership, none of the remaining batsmen could reach double figures as the home side were all out for just 101.

Dan Tuite, four, B Shah, three, Jagatsinh, one, and O’Neill, one, were the Mitford wicket-takers.
