Blagdon Park (279-7) v Warkworth (92) Northumberland Cricket League, Premier Division
BLAGDON recorded a comfortable victory after good performances from batsmen and bowlers.
The hosts batted first and they recovered from the early loss of David Gibson to impose themselves on their opponents.
Mark Foster (69), Shaun Collins (63) and James Sanders (29) helped them go past 200 and some decent shots from middle-order duo Matthew Senior (36) and Paul Johnson (30 not out) enabled Park to reach an impressive total of 279-7.
In reply, Warkworth were put on the back foot early on, with none of the top-five batsmen reaching double figures.
Despite an excellent knock of 40 from Douglas, they were bowled out for just 92.
Senior took four wickets, Alistair Clark picked up three and the others were claimed by Johnson (two) and Henry Blake.
