Entry closed for annual Morpeth 10k Road Race

Pre-race entry has now closed for the annual Morpeth 10k Road Race, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, August 4, at 7.30pm.

All entries are currently going through final process and for those who provided stamped addressed envelopes their official race numbers and final instructions should be posted out in the next few days.

Those who did not will need to report to Race HQ on the night to collect their number before competing.

The event is once again being sponsored by Coca Cola, courtesy of Abbey Well, Morpeth, who will also be providing race drinks en-route and at the finish.

Additional sponsorship is coming from Phil Walker Wealth Management and Chris Dentice, of Stanton Hall Nurseries.

The event also incorporates the NECAA 10k Road Race Championships.

Late entries are also being taken on the night between 6pm and 7.15pm at Race HQ at Craik Park, home of Morpeth Town FC, at rates of £12 for club runners and £14 unattached.

All late entries remain eligible for prizes, however, they are not eligible for NECAA Championship Medals.

All runners must be at least 15 years of age on the day of the race.

Official race parking is at Piramal in Whalton Road, approximately a quarter of a mile from Race HQ. There are no parking facilities at Craik Park, or at the start and finish areas.

Toilet facilities are available at Pegasus Riding Centre, close to the start.

The after race presentation is at Craik Park, where food and refreshments will be available from the licensed bar.
