Mitford (112) v Rock (113) Alnwick and District Cricket League
MITFORD fell agonisingly short in this low scoring encounter.
The visitors got off to a bad start in their innings after Andrew O’Neill and Scott Lawson, two, took early wickets.
Williams played a good knock and he was eventually trapped lbw for 28 by Yogen Jagatsinh. O’Neill had Kelly caught for 25.
Lawson claimed another two scalps and O’Neill achieved a deserved five-wicket haul as Rock were all out for 113. Parkinson finished on 20 not out.
O’Neill did not do so well with the bat as he was out for four, along with Jagatsinh. The home side looked set for victory when Bhavesh Patel (38) and Scott Lawson (41) were in the middle, but their dismissals sparked a collapse and Mitford were all out for 112 – losing by just one run.
