Blue Flames (47) v Blagdon Park (48-0) Northumberland Cricket League, Premier Division
BLAGDON’S bowlers were in magnificent form as the visitors dismissed their opponents for less than 50 in a crushing victory.
The home side won the toss and decided to bat. They were soon in trouble when they were reduced to 23-6.
Tom Lakey and Matthew Senior were a constant danger and made it difficult for batsmen to score against them.
The opening duo took four and two wickets respectively.
Paul Johnson and Adam Clarke then joined the party as both men claimed a couple of scalps.
Ahmed Ali (15) was the only player to reach double figures for Blue Flames. They were all out for just 47 after 18.1 overs.
Blagdon reached their victory target in 50 balls. David Gibson hit five fours in his innings of 28 not out and Mark Foster finished on 16 not out.
