Preparations for an event to raise money for a charity that supports children with aggressive bone cancer osteosarcoma are in full swing.
Members of the public can play a round at Longhirst Hall Golf Club during The Mayor of Morpeth’s Charity Golf Day on Wednesday, May 14.
Coun Joan Tebbutt and fellow organiser Gillian Irvine are also putting together a casino, grand raffle and auction on the evening to add to the total for Henry Dancer Days.
The winning men’s and ladies teams will receive a £300 voucher for golfing equipment plus trophies.
Mrs Irvine said: “People can expect a fun-filled day and they will be supporting a very good cause. We think it’s excellent value for such an event.”
“The course will be in tip top condition because the club is preparing it for the EuroPro Tour event later in the year,” added Coun Tebbutt.
The cost for a team of four is £240 – this includes a breakfast butty, a full round of golf and a rolling barbecue. A range of prizes have been donated by businesses.
