A PONTELAND teenager was jumping for joy following her success in a national competition.
The Horse of the Year Show at the LG Arena in Birmingham featured a host of recognised stars, but it also gave an opportunity to emerging talent and Charlotte Ash was among those to impress the crowds.
She competed in events with both of her ponies and the Ponteland High School Year 10 student put in a fantastic performance on her pony Aughnashammer – also known as Trevor – to win the Pony Foxhunter Final.
Pastoral Leader Larraine Tilley said: “We are all very proud of Charlotte.
“She is a very modest young lady with a great attitude and I am sure she will go from strength to strength.”
