MONKSEATON left with the spoils on Saturday after posting a strong first-inning total.
Batting first after losing the toss, the Tyneside visitors posted a challenging 204-8 thanks to 40 from opener Matthew Kleynhans, 48 not out from Bend Windass and 49 from Chris Coulson.
With the ball, the Davids, Charlton and Loxham, tried their best taking 4-48 and 3-63 respectively.
In reply, Colin Tait started well, eventually being bowled when on 39, but he received little support with the exception of another 39, from David Covell and the home side were bowled out for 144, some 60 runs short.
John Hewett did most of the damage with the ball taking 6-25 off 12.4 overs.
