NORTHUMBERLAND team 4 Muddyfeet won a top Scottish off-road event by a clear margin.
The two-car team of Robbie Birkett, Khristian Nicholson, Lester Grant and Jon Watson scored over 20 points more than the second-placed team.
Despite entering in the Standard class 2 they also won the overall title, beating the highly-specialised cars in the Unlimited class.
A total of 50 4x4 vehicles took part at Griffin Forest, Perthshire, in the 24-hour competition over two days. A large number of stages were set out in five discrete areas within the forest.
There was a mix of shorter technical driven, longer winch/technical and very long driven sections through steep-sided valleys, trees and rain. The topology conspires with the rain and the forest to create mud.
Add all this together and you get an abundance of tight, difficult routes with plenty of opportunities to test each team’s skills, teamwork and the quality of their off-road vehicle.
