TIME is running out for Morpeth residents to get their Christmas post delivered by the 4th Morpeth Scouts.

Cards can be posted for the sum of 25p each and they will then be stamped, sorted and delivered by Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to any address within the town.

Boxes went out two weeks ago to the Morpeth branches of Morrisons, Costa Coffee and Barclays, as well as Treacle Wool Shop and the Health Hut pharmacy in Kirkhill. They close at noon on Thursday.

Group Scout Leader Liam Walsh said: “As well as being an important fund-raiser for our Scout Group, this is a valuable service which is greatly appreciated by the residents of Morpeth.

“We now have close to 200 young members, so we have a great workforce to deliver the cards in time for Christmas and we appreciate the support of everyone who chooses to use our service.”
