ENJOY all the fun of a traditional village fete at Wallington’s Estate Village on Saturday.

Highlights include children’s races, quoits and football competitions and there will be a range of stalls.

The activities will take place from 1pm to 4pm – the village is approximately two miles from Wallington.

At the National Trust site itself on the same day, explore its medieval foundations by joining the Reiver for a special tour of the cellars. The suggested youngest age for this activity is eight.

Tours will run between 11am and 4pm and all tickets are priced £2. Normal admission charges apply.

For more information about both events, telephone 01670 773600 or email wallington@nationaltrust.org.uk

On Sunday, enjoy the traditional sounds of Scottish pipes and drums as the North Tyneside Pipe Band is performing in Wallington’s Courtyard. This will happen between 2pm and 4pm.
