JUDGING will take place next week to find the new Face of Rutherfords.
Rutherfords of Morpeth has teamed up with the Morpeth Herald to find a woman, aged 21 upwards, to represent the prestigious Bridge Street store and model in fashion shoots, appear in adverts and meet shoppers during special in-store events.
The race is now on to enter the competition as entries close on Tuesday, September 11, before judges from Rutherfords pick the winner.
As well as being crowned the Face of Rutherfords, the winner will receive a £250 shopping voucher to spend in the department store.
They will also have the chance to model in a special photo-shoot to unveil Rutherfords’ autumn/winter fashion collection in the Morpeth Herald.
Jane Rutherford, from the family-owned store, said: “We’re looking forward to going through the entries, and I’m sure selecting our winner isn’t going to be an easy task.
“The winner could be a potential model but we are equally as interested in finding someone who doesn’t want a full-time modelling career yet looks good in clothes whatever their size and shape. An attractive personality is as important to us as an attractive face.”
To stand a chance of winning, contestants should send a photograph and 150 words on why they think they should be named the Face of Rutherfords.
Entries should be sent to the Morpeth Herald at 17 Newgate Street, Morpeth, NE61 1AW.
