THE great-grandson of Wallington’s past donor will be holding an exhibition of artwork over the next seven weeks.

During an artistic career spanning more than 25 years, Jonathan Parker has been greatly inspired by his Trevelyan ancestors including great-grandfather Sir Charles Philips Trevelyan.

The showcase of some of his recent work – called Time and Tide Wait for No Man – is based on his experiences at Wallington. It runs from Saturday to Sunday, October 21 (except Tuesdays).

People can see the exhibition between noon and 4pm and entry is free, although normal admission charges apply.

For more information, telephone 01670 773600 or email wallington@nationaltrust.org.uk

On Sunday, enjoy the traditional sounds of Scottish Pipes and drums in the Courtyard when the North Tyneside Pipe Band performs from 2pm to 4pm.
