LOCAL history buffs are being invited to share their expertise in the return of a county event.
Individuals, groups and societies across the county can put a date in their diary for the second Northumberland History Fair, which will take place at Woodhorn Museum and Northumberland Archives on Monday, October 24.
Organisers are keen to hear from anyone who would like to be part of the event and take a stand to share their expertise.
Woodhorn Events and Exhibitions Officer Liz Ritson said: “We know from the number of people who use the archives at Woodhorn that there’s huge interest in the past.
“Thousands are looking into their own family history, and not just who they were, but where their ancestors lived, how they earned their keep, what living conditions were like and what else was going on at the time. Others are fascinated by churches and buildings, the development of industry, communities and more.
“We’d like the event to bring together as many people as possible to share their knowledge and expertise, research and contacts.”
