THE meeting of Morpeth Camera Club on Tuesday, September 27, commenced with John Thomson, organiser of its Autumn Event on November 8, giving an update on tickets sales and publicity.
The theme for the night was Summer Walks, where members were invited to discuss their summer photographs — this included describing the locations, explaining their techniques and answering questions from other members.
The session started off with an excellent audio/visual presentation by Steve Macdonald, Vice Chairman, in which he covered all of the summer walks which took place during the summer break that had been organised by Davy Bolam, Competition Secretary.
It continued with digital images submitted by other members and included pictures from France, Switzerland, Germany and the USA, as well as photographs taken with other club members during the summer in the local area.
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks from the Chairman, Dave Illingworth, to all who had contributed to a very enjoyable meeting.
The Autumn Event at the club’s regular Morpeth Methodist Church venue is called An Eye for Nature. It will be presented by the internationally-recognised natural history photographer Rob Jordan.
Tickets, priced at £7, are available from Barry Wadge on 01670 504909.
