A WEEK-LONG birthday bash will be held at a Morpeth pub.
The Electrical Wizard in New Market is celebrating its first anniversary next week with a variety of activities.
On Monday there will be a charity birthday quiz at 8pm and a beer festival will be launched on Wednesday, with the chance to claim a gallon of ale for charity and a hamper of real ale for the person who buys the 100th pint of the day.
On Thursday, the actual anniversary, there will be a cake to cut at 6pm, and cupcakes and champagne for customers, as well as a charity auction of sports memorabilia.
There will also be special events on Friday to honour the Cheltenham Festival, including offering champagne.
On Saturday there will be celebrations for St Patrick’s Day and on Sunday for Mothers’ Day.
Manager Chris McEvoy said: “Anyone can come along and join in and there will be more and more charity events happening as we go.
“The pub is doing really well since we opened. We are doing well on food sales and we have had good reviews online.
“Over half the staff are the people we started off with and a couple are now managers so they have managed to work their way up in a year, which is brilliant.
“We are doing really well in Morpeth and long may that continue.”
The pub is part of the JD Wetherspoon chain.
