PRETTY pumpkins are the pride of Morpeth Brownies as they adorn the windows of the town’s department store.

Youngsters from the 6th Morpeth St Aidan’s and 4th Morpeth St George’s Brownie packs have been hard at work carving the Hallowe’en display for Rutherfords of Morpeth.

A total of 42 girls took part in the challenge and the three with the best designs – Ellen Turner, Elanor Johnson and a joint effort by Abbie Jobling and Emily Stafford – were rewarded with £20 gift tokens.

All of the pumpkins are now on display in the store window.
