Dancers have been going round in circles at the Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering.
Sandy Rickerby and the Morpeth Circle Dancers led a workshop in Morpeth Town Hall Ballroom to pass on one of the oldest known dance formations.
Circle dancing was part of community life from when people first started to dance, and now it is being passed on to another generation.
Other sessions to get toes tapping at the festival will be clog waltzing, a barn dance and morris dancing.
