A TELEVISION revolution in the North East will begin next week.
The TV digital switch-over will start on Wednesday as the analogue BBC Two channel is turned off at all regional transmitters.
And on Wednesday, September 26, the remaining analogue channels – BBC One, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 – will also go.
Research suggests that nine out of 10 homes in the area have already gone digital for their main set, but some still need to take action and the Switchover Help Scheme is urging older and disabled viewers to get in touch if they need practical support.
The scheme includes a choice of equipment, installation and aftercare.
