DANCING is strictly the order of the day for a new Morpeth business.
Entrepreneur Heather Robinson has embarked on her first business venture with the opening of Tip Toes Dance Shop in Newgate Street.
The 21-year-old, who attended Morpeth’s King Edward VI School, has fulfilled a long-held ambition in opening her store.
And she has also started a teaching career, setting up dance classes to pass on her skills.
“It is my first business. Until now I’ve been working in admin and I worked at Gott Technical Services,” she said.
“I’ve wanted to do this for years and as I qualified as a dance instructor recently I thought I would give it a go. I’ve been dancing for 18 years so this is a dream come true.”
The shop sells a range of dance costumes, shoes and accessories for customers aged from two years to adults.
“I sell everything you could need for dancing really. People would probably have to go to Newcastle for this kind of thing before I opened my shop, but now they can just pop into Morpeth,” said Miss Robinson.
