CHILDREN are invited to dress the part for a Morpeth shopping centre’s very own spook-tacular event.
Staff at Sanderson Arcade have lined up a host of activities to celebrate Hallowe’en including a pumpkin design workshop and competition, face painting, themed music and stilt walkers.
And there will also be costumes fit for a Monsters’ Ball at a fancy dress parade.
The competition is split into two age groups, six years and under and seven to 13. Judges will be looking for the scariest and most imaginative outfits.
Centre Manager Medi Parry said: “We are really looking forward to Hallowe’en this year and as it falls at half-term, we thought it was a great opportunity to organise something really special.
“Look out for the Hallowe’en characters appearing along the gallery at the arcade, some of them even light up in the dark. We’ve also got lots of scary treats and prizes.”
The event will take place on Wednesday, October 31. Registration for the fancy dress competition starts at 4pm in the pumpkin workshop area and the contest begins at 6pm.
The evening will close with a fire show in the piazza area from about 6.30pm.
