John makes a splash

Morpeth Camera Club held its meeting on 15th November and the results of the 1st club open print competition were judged by Geoffrey Bradford CPAGB'Each image was assessed by Geoffrey who then invited the authors to give their comments.'The results were: '1st. ONE of John Thompson’s entries made a big splash at Morpeth Camera Club’s first open print competition.

The photographs were judged at a meeting of the club on November 15 by Geoffrey Bradford CPAGB.

Each image was assessed by Mr Bradford, who then invited the authors to give their comments.

Mr Thompson won the contest with Wet, Wet, Wet and he also had a fifth placed entry – A Summer’s Day.

Davy Bolam came second and fourth with Coastline and Boat Canvas respectively. Le Marche, Nyons, Drome by Lionel Bryan was third.

Three Highly Commended awards went to Girl on the Stairs by Elaine Illingworth, Storm Clouds and Rainbow by Dave Bisset and Riding the Surf by Keith Saint.

Club Chairman Dave Illingworth thanked Mr Bradford on behalf of the club members.
