Morpeth Camera Club
THE club’s first Open Print Competition was judged by Alan McCormick, LRPS, on Tuesday, November 6.
Offering very constructive remarks and advice, he commented on dozens of photographs submitted by members in this very popular contest.

In the mono section, highly-commended places were awarded to the following people: Ian Cadwallender, Boot Room; Lional Bryan, Provencal Detail; Elaine Illingworth, Rusty Lloyd; and Lional Bryan, Gable Mural with Bike.
Fifth place was awarded to John Thompson for Sprint Finish and he also got fourth for Island Workshop, Lindisfarne, and third for Prop Forward.
Vince Rooker was second with Three Tulips and first position was awarded to Ian Cadwallender for Dereliction On Reflection.
In the colour section, highly-commended awards were given to Chris Earl with Wall Surfer; Elaine Illingworth, Jake; Davy Bolam, Street Entertainers; Dave Illingworth, Beamish Motor and Cycle Works; and John Barnes, Abstract in Blue.
John Thompson received the fifth and fourth-place accolades with High Ball and Causeway Storm Cloud, respectively.
In third position was Steve McDonald, Where Did You Get That Hat; Vince Rooker took another second with Clematis and Grapes and first place was awarded to Chris Earl for his Sand, Sea and Sky photograph.
Mr McCormick was thanked by Chairman Dave Illingworth for such an interesting, amusing and informative evening, after which there was a raffle and buffet.
