MORPETH Camera Club’s last meeting started with a presentation of photographs submitted by members on the subject of Cats and Dogs, the monthly challenge set by Vice Chairman Steve McDonald.
Members then enjoyed their traditional end of season presentation night.
During the year, marks are awarded to entries in the 12 club competitions and these marks are totalled up to determine the winners in the different categories.
A review of the top images was combined with the presentation of the six trophies to the following members.
The Bates Cup for Landscape: Dave Illingworth; The Browell Trophy for Natural History: Vince Rooker; The Colour Cup for Colour Print Worker of the Year: John Thompson; The Camera Trophy for Monochrome Print Worker of the Year: John Thompson; The Shield for PDI Worker of the Year: Steve McDonald; The Photographers Plaque for Photographer of the Year: Davy Bolam.
The evening concluded with a buffet supper.
It was the last meeting of the season in which members meet at Morpeth Methodist Church in Howard Terrace, but they get together during the summer break at various locations in the area to get some exercise, exchange tips and ideas and take photographs in a good humoured and friendly atmosphere.
The club will resume its meetings in September every Tuesday night from 7.30pm.
