Story time

CHILDREN can start their Easter holidays by listening to some stories at three county libraries.

They can hear how Northumberland’s own Grace Darling became a world-famous heroine and make their own Longstone lighthouse.

The free event, for ages four to 12, is being held in Widdrington Library, Grange Road, on Monday between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and Morpeth Library, Gas House Lane, on Wednesday from 10.30am to 11.30am.

At Ponteland Library in Thornhill Road on Wednesday, children can meet the Easter Rabbit for some Easter stories and crafts.

The free fun for those aged between three and ten will take place from 11am to noon.

At all events, under eights must be accompanied by an adult.
