TOP tips on rhododendrons will be dished out by the experts in a joint initiative between the National Trust and a Morpeth garden centre.
Representatives from Cragside near Rothbury will be at Heighley Gate Nursery and Garden Centre, off the A697, on Saturday to give advice on the plants.
It is the third year the outlet has hosted the session.
Heighley Gate Events Co-ordinator Sarah Tait said: “The National Trust’s Cragside property is famous for its rhododendrons and it is only 20 minutes away from the garden centre. Customers often visit both sites during a day trip.
“The event is a perfect opportunity for people to get free advice from our in-house experts and the highly knowledgeable gardeners at Cragside, including Head Gardener Alison Pringle.
“Our experienced plantsmen and women, including Hardy Stock Expert Nic Crofts, will be available to advise visitors alongside Alison.”
The event runs from 11am to 3pm.
