Wartime life

VISITORS can get a taste of life on the Home Front during the Second World War at Wallington this weekend.

Families can follow a family trail to find out what it was like to be an evacuee at Wallington and help staff ‘Dig for Victory’ in the Walled Garden.

They can also see wartime vehicles in the courtyard and hear about the real children who were evacuated to Wallington during the war.

Wartime Wallington will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm. There will be a small charge for some activities.
