Witch hunt wins a spell of shopping

A SPELL of shopping could make a perfect Halloween treat for one lucky Morpeth customer — but only if they can root out some witches.

The Great Newgate Street Witch Hunt will return for half-term week, giving shoppers the chance to win £100 in vouchers.

This year’s event is bigger and better than ever, with 31 businesses taking part.

A witch will be lurking in each of the outlets and to be in with a chance of winning the prize, hunters must track them down and note their names on an entry form.

Once they have discovered them all they can post their entry in special boxes in the shops and a winner will be drawn at random after the close of the competition on Monday, October 31.

Entry forms and boxes will be available from Monday in Cafe Des Amis, F H Hardy, The Sewing Box, Linmore Direct and Peppermint Tea Room.

The winner of the vouchers, which can be spent in any of the participating businesses, will be notified by telephone by Saturday, November 5.
